Sleeping At Last

Thanks to the brilliant Jeremy Larson I came across Illinoise based band Sleeping At Last (and got a free download of their new album!). Since then I've had my iPod plugged in and been moving (with some odd looking dancemooves) around the flat in a blissful mood. The albumcover is perfect and beautifully painted by Geoff Benzing.

Art for Dr. Fart

Had my third appointment this afternoon since removing my wisdom tooth and apparently he's not that pleased with my recovery. No kidding Sherlock! Now he tells me this happens once in every ten cases, something bla bla that the gum doesnt grow back quick enough and covers the bone (is that my jaw he was talking about?!) anyway, I drifted out and stopped listening when he said I have to get in there again in two days for yet another check up.
Mum bought me ABC crackers to cheer me up and this is what I made. I dedicate it to the dentist working on Jakobsbergsgatan 8 in Stockholm. I hate you.

Star Wars, Trolls, Kermit and a pair of supercute shoes

Mum and dad came over yesterday and she's doing some Spring cleaning at the house and found all our old toys (me and my brothers). She had a whole bag with her with stuff she thought I'd like. How cool are these? They're not mine but my brother said it was fine I'd have 'em up in my flat. 

There was also the super cool Kermit doll that now sits on the edge of my sofa chillin.

 

And what about these supercool Trolls? I can't believe my Mum kept all of our things it's really a blessing. 

And as a finale, here are my first pair of shoes. Size 17, that's tiny people, looks like I was dragging them around the floor crawling more than walking, soles are like new!

Dustin Hoffman

I'm trying out a drug-free day today and so far I'm not liking it. It's been a week now and I'm feeling a lot better but the fever and cold has now taken over totally. Sun is shining outside and it looks like Spring is back on but I'm sitting here watching Rain Man on telly.

For those who do not know I'm a huge Dustin Hoffman fan, I must have seen Kramer vs Kramer like a hundred times. And don't get me started on Tootsie or The Graduate, man that soundtrack must be one of the best soundtracks ever made, I dare to say.

Owl City

I don't know if it's all the drugs I've been taking since the removal of my wisdom tooth but I can't stop listening to Owl City. I've never really been a fan of music that even a five year old can name from the radio but I kinda like it anyway. And I especially like these photos I came across of the singer Adam Young.

I'll borrow Taza's Easter weekend if that's fine

Taza and her husband have the beautiful blog Rockstar Diaries. I couldn't resist but to forward her stunning photos from DC this weekend. I've picked up a fever and cold now to add to the pain in my jaw and when waking up this morning I looked outside to see that it was SNOWING again. Bye bye Spring, so freackin depressing.

Singin' In The Rain

is what I've been watching this morning, though outside the sun is shining. Fifth day in a row now that I wake up in pain after removing my wisdom tooth earlier this week. No one prepared me for this pain, I thought I'd be fine in a day or two but no. Thanks to some nice drugs I survived the Owen Pallett gig, but besides that my long weekend has been dreadful.

So this is what I've been up to, watching old movies on TCM, who could survive without it?
The scene when Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor sings Good Morning makes me smile because that's what my dad used to sing to me and my brother when waking us up for school. Good memories.
